Portion Platter (Fractions) helps students better visualize fractions and percentages and equivalent relationships between them. The touch mechanic engages children in a hands-on learning process, implementing kinesthetic learning. Two types of problems are presented at 4 different difficulty levels appropriate for grades 2-6. You draw a line across a glass of milk to match the given fraction for the first problem type. For the second problem type, a fractional portion is displayed as a cookie, peppermint candy, pie or pizza and you enter the matching fraction or percentage.

In Disaster Chasers, you become a master of disaster by chasing and responding to disasters around the world. Compete against your friends by beating their score on the leader board and gain bragging rights by becoming the master of disaster. Figure out the locations of different bodies of water and continents while learning about various natural disasters.

Factor Race helps students identify the binomial factors of a trinomial equation, for example, factoring x2+x-2 into (x-1)(x+2). You start at the starting gate with a race car. You move around the track to the finish line as you factor equations correctly. As you complete each level you earn a better race car. The target grade levels are 7-11.

Developed in collaboration with WHRO. You are traveling through history in a zeppelin and will encounter different people from different time periods and different locations. Talk with the people and see what they have to say - you might just learn something. Some of the people are not in the correct time period or location, so bring them aboard your Zeppelin and fly them to the correct location. When you feel you've completed the app, open the settings menu and check your accuracy. “Zeppelin Adventures” uses the images that are also found in some history books to help students remember historical figures.

One of our award-winning apps puts you in the governor of Virginia's shoes to adjust the commonwealth's budget in a poor economy. As the newly-elected governor, players will need to improve public safety, transportation, health, and education by deciding which services get a certain amount of money from the budget. Players have to make decisions based upon what Virginians want and the governor's approval rating. You can add more money to the budget depending on how many economics questions you answer correctly.

Hire captains, build ships and outfit voyages to learn of the wonders of the new world. Expeditions can be dangerous however, so be careful or else Europe may never hear of your discoveries!

Spelling Cat is a feline and jazz-themed app to help students improve their spelling. There are three games within this app. In the first one, students will listen to a word pronounced within the app, and then they'll spell it. They can also unscramble words or fill in a missing letter. One of the key functions of this app is that teachers can create their own word lists for students to study.

Apples In Hour Hands is an app to get kindergartners through second graders comfortable with reading an hour-hand clock. Students are sitting under an apple tree and try to collect apples in the basket by correctly telling the time and matching the clock with its corresponding digital time.

Functions: Students will use the accelerometer to catch the apples in the basket by tilting the iPod Touch left or right.

In Same Sound Spell Bound, Luna and Leo are working from a spell book to try to bring animal statues to life. First, students are given fill-in-the-blank sentences. The word choices are a group of homophones, and students need to select the correct word in order to turn a variety of different animals into living creatures.
